Question about how long hypnotherapy lasts?

Question from Joanne from Boston

I have been a certified clinical hypnotherapist for over five years now and I have a question about the effectiveness of hypnosis treatment programs.

Sometimes my treatment works for about a year or two and then my clients go back to the same problem they had before. How do you keep your clients from backsliding to their old unwanted habits?

Answer from Wayne F. Perkins Master Hypnotist Trainer

I understand where you are coming from. Many hypnotists feel that just attacking the symptoms of the problem will solve the problem forever. It’s kind of taking an aspirin for a tension headache. If you take the aspirin the headache is gone temporarily, however if you are able to change the way a person feels about what is causing the tension in the first place you have a much better chance of lasting success and fewer headaches.

A diet for example will help you lose weight for a while, however when you are able to teach your client how to change the way they look at the stressors that cause a person to overeat, than you have a much better change of lasting, life saving change.

My new audio CD program, Annihilate Stress at Work goes into detail on how to change how you view your world so you can have lasting success changing your habits and gain more control over your life.
