Today we celebrate Arizona’s birthday. Not the hippie girl from Mark Lindsey’s song, but the actual state of Arizona, residing in the United States of America.

It was February 14, 1912 that Arizona became a state. It was either 47th or 48th as New Mexico was declared a state a few days later.
