Employing the Law of Attraction

What is the one big secret behind the power of hypnosis and self-hypnosis?

The major secret behind hypnosis is the fundamental law of attraction.

The law of attraction was first officially coined by the philosopher around the turn of the twentieth century named Dr. William James.

William stated that whatever you hold in your mind, your body moves toward.

Thoughts are energy. The more you are thinking about something, the more energy you are sending out in the universe to get the object or condition.

When you think of the ancient ruins in caves located around the world you usually see paintings on the cave walls of animals.

Are the people who live in caves painting the animals to pass the time, to hold in reverence as a religious object, or are they painting the animal because they are hungry and know the animal will fill their appetites?

I do not know the answer to that question, but I do know from over thirty years as a hypnotist, that people move in the same direction as their predominant thoughts.

After a while, maybe before the painting is finished, a deer or antelope arrives by the cave and the cave dwellers are soon eating the food they have visualized on the cave walls. The cave dwellers mission is accomplished as a result of the visualization.

This is an example of a positive suggestion or idea that manifests the object of admiration and concentration.

Do negative suggestions work the same way as positive suggestions?

Negative suggestion works the same way as positive ones. The law of attraction states that whatever we hold in our minds our body moves in that direction.

Have you ever been on a diet? Most diets fail after a while because you are always thinking of the foods that you have given up in order complying with the diet.

If you are thinking of a greasy hamburger and the doctor has just told you that hamburgers will kill you, chances are you will be back to the greasy hamburger within a day of two of being put on restriction.

Why? This is because you keep thinking about the greasy hamburger. You think more about that food than ever before, and sooner or later your body moves like a robot in search of the next greasy hamburger.

People who are addicted to smoking, gambling, television, cell phone use, computers, video games, alcohol or drugs find themselves in the same conundrum.

The harder they try to quit, the harder it becomes. The reason why is they are always thinking about what they are giving up rather than what they are receiving.

When you study self-hypnosis or go to a hypnotist for hypnotherapy, you will find that one of the first things you do is conquer what is in your mind. You need to rewire your thinking into moving your body toward what you want and away from what you do not want.

Most of us focus on what we do not want.

Do you know anyone who always tells you about his/her aches and pains. Do they seem to have every disease created either by genetics or by television and the television sponsors?

These people have very strong minds. Their minds are always working on creating misery for themselves.

Can you imagine what their lives would be like if they could shift their thinking toward abundance?

I wonder.

Summary:

Hold in your mind what you want out of life. Think about the things you have now and give thanks for what you have. Develop and attitude of gratitude and remember to dream you reality every day.

Use your powerful subconscious mind to move in the direction of what you want rather than what you do not want. Go to a hypnotist or learn self-hypnosis to develop the true magic of your mind. Allow the universe to open up and give you what you want and what you truly deserve.

Paint the cave walls of your mind with all the abundance you want and need. Become what you think about most in your life.
